Ski holiday in the Ötztal
in Tyrol.

1 valley, 6 ski areas, endless skiing fun – with over 360 kilometres of pistes and 90 lifts. You’ll get your money’s worth on a skiing holiday. From beginners with their first turns to black pistes and deep snow slopes for real racers or powder kings.

Skiing in Gries.
Guaranteed snow, of course.

The ski area in Gries is small and beautiful. And above all, snow is guaranteed. It is only about 300 metres from the hotel to the two ski lifts. Ideal for beginners and families with children who want to start small and make it big. You won’t find queues at the lift here. Instead, there are perfectly groomed pistes and deep snow in abundance.

Cross-country skiing in Gries.

Strengthened, we head out onto the cross-country ski trail after breakfast. Incidentally, it is only a few steps away from the hotel and runs through the centre of Gries. After all, what would a winter holiday be without cross-country skiing? Simply strap on your cross-country skis, breathe in the fresh mountain air and off you go – through a snow-covered winter landscape.

By the way: You can hire cross-country skiing equipment directly from the hotel’s own sports shop.

Tobogganing and hut fun.

Tobogganing and huts? The combination is (almost) unbeatable. At least we think so. That’s why you should definitely hire a toboggan from us. The Amberger Hütte (at 2,135 metres) and the Sulztalalm (at 1,915 metres) are already waiting for you. After a fun time in the hut, you’ll head down into the valley on two runners.

Winter hiking and
snowshoe hiking.

You hike through the idyllic winter landscape in Gries and Ötztal. To the left and right, the Stubai and Ötztal Alps are cloaked in deep white. It’s snowing big flakes. You walk through the fresh snow. The sun makes the snow crystals sparkle in your eyes as you leave deep tracks in the snow.

There are many hiking tours here. From the Nisslalm in Gries to 250 kilometres of marked hiking trails in Ötzal. Alone or with a guide.

AQUA DOME in
Längenfeld.

The AQUA DOME in Längenfeld is particularly popular in winter – when it’s cold and snowing outside. A real wellness temple that you should definitely plan to visit during your winter holiday in Ötztal. Known for its alpine setting with water, the fascinating bathing and sauna area and the children’s adventure world.
